Wowzers WILL NOT sell, trade, or assign any unaggregated, personally identifiable personal information to third parties. If Wowzers shares any such information with a third party, it will be in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy and for the limited purposes that we discuss below. What Data We Collect
We collect the following information from students who use our online math program:
- Name: The student’s first and last name.
- Grade Level: The student’s grade level.
- School Name: The name of the student’s school.
Additionally, our system automatically collects the following data:
- Progress: Information about the student’s progress through the program, including completed lessons and assignments.
- Scores: The student’s scores on quizzes and assessments.
- Time Spent: The amount of time the student spends using the program.
How We Use Data
We use the collected data to:
- Track Student Progress: Monitor the student’s progress through the program and identify areas where they may need additional support.
- Analyze Performance: Analyze the student’s scores and time spent to provide insights into their learning patterns and identify areas for improvement.

Our Commitment to Privacy
Wowzers adheres to the American Disabilities Act.
This Privacy Policy will bind any future entities that may acquire Wowzers.
To that end, private information including a student, teacher, administrator, or parent/guardian’s name, address, phone number, test scores and other private information concerning the students, parents, teachers and administrators will be kept in a secure location on Wowzers’ private server which cannot be accessed by the public. This information will be shared only with the child’s parent, guardian, teacher, or administrator, unless that information is compelled by legal process or if test scores from a school or district are to be used in research studies where no student names will be used and the study is permitted by the school or district.
- The School District, its students, and the student’s parents and legal guardians may retain possession and control of student-generated content, and, if applicable, a student, parent, or legal guardian of a student may transfer student-generated content to an electronic mail account.
- Wowzers will not use student information, student records, or student-generated content for any purposes except those this contract authorizes..
- A student and/or parent or legal guardian of a student may review personally identifiable information contained in the student’s record, student information, or student-generated content, and correct erroneous information, if any, in such student material.
- Wowzers is designed to ensure the security and confidentiality of student records, student information, and student-generated content. Student data is always securely protected.
- Wowzers will notify the student, the parent or legal guardian of a student, and the District as soon as practical, but not later than forty-eight (48) hours, after Wowzers becomes aware of or suspects that any student record, student information, or student-generated content under the contractor’s control has been subject to unauthorized access or suspected unauthorized access.
- Wowzers and the District shall ensure compliance with the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
- The Children’s Internet Protection Act :The Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) is a federal law enacted by Congress in December 2000 to address concerns about access to offensive content over the Internet on school and library computers. CIPA imposes certain types of requirements on any school or library that receives funding support for Internet access or internal connections from the “E-rate” program – a program that makes certain technology more affordable for eligible schools and libraries. The Wowzers Program does not provide links to external resources or chat rooms and does not contain any offensive or inappropriate matter. As a result, any school or library that uses Wowzers Programs will be fully compliant with CIPA.
- Wowzers shall not use personally identifiable information contained in student records to engage in advertising or for any other purposes other than those authorized pursuant to the contract.
- Single family/home subscriptions follow the same privacy guidelines as the school district guidelines.
- Wowzers uses analytics to capture device information for debugging purposes.
- The Wowzers dashboard application and student performance data are hosted on AWS instances that are managed by Engine Yard. Engine Yard is committed to maintaining a safe and secure platform for their customers, business partners, and the broader Internet community. Engine Yard has developed an in-house information security and compliance function that complements the controls that their IaaS provider, AWS, provides. An Engine Yard Customer cluster is isolated from other customer clusters, and is a self-contained environment that includes compute, storage, and database services.
