Wowzers is an effective tool to raise student performance on test scores. Because students stay engaged in the immersive content, they spend more time on task and have more touch points with concepts than they otherwise would.

According to an independent study completed by the University of Memphis, students who used the Wowzers program had gains nearly twice as large as a control group that used traditional textbooks.

The evaluation looked at four classrooms in the Chicago Public Schools. Two fourth grade classrooms used only Wowzers for math instruction. The other two fourth grade classrooms used a textbook. The evaluation demonstrated that the students in the Wowzers classrooms had about twice the effect size on the state standardized test (ISAT).
